Shamiana travels across the city to participate in Hyde Park Art Center & Art Design Chicago’s booth featuring a selection of the recent Artist-Run Chicago grantees.

New work available by participating artists Tulika Ladsariya, Osman Khan and Kushala Vora. Sculptural forms, soundscapes and photo installations come together seamlessly in the install.

Organized by Hyde Park Art Center in partnership with the Terra Foundation for American Art, this mini exhibition, Artists Run Chicago: Here and Now, features projects by four of Chicago’s artist-run platforms that engage critical dialogue around Chicago neighborhoods through art interventions in public space. The featured platforms, Contra Corriente, Cooperation Racine: incubated by in c/o: Black women, Roman Susan, and Space Shift Collective, are all recipients of the Art Center’s Artists Run Chicago Fund, a regranting initiative that gives unrestricted financial support to the city’s diverse artist-run platforms.
